Dynamic Flex Cast

Course Information

What Makes This Technique Different than Other Casting Techniques?

Other casting techniques help children improve their range of movement by stretching their tight muscles. Dynamic Flex Cast focuses more on aligning the different bones of the foot through different manipulations (not stretching). Patients are casted in proper anatomical position to improve their gait and obtain better results.

Participants learn different types of manipulation to find and hold the foot in the position needed, depending on the child’s condition, throughout the entire casting procedure. They learn different treatments using soft cast and plaster depending on what needs to be achieved.

Dynamic Flex Cast is a technique that allows children to continue with their normal routine, except for water related activities. It allows the muscle to strengthen while on the right position.

The class provides 12+ hours of hands-on manipulation with real cases.
